Smudge Proof Mascara

Smudge Proof Mascara – Being on your feet all day can be really bad for your makeup, but there’s nothing worse than having your mascara all over the place at the end of the day. If you need your makeup to stay in place as you work, you can start with a smudgeproof mascara. Athletes, frequent travelers and field workers will find a smudgeproof mascara particularly useful on the job.

What’s the right way to use a smudgeproof mascara?

To avoid this, use a thin-grooved applicator and apply the product in a well-lit room. A smudgeproof mascara tends to be thick and heavy, which are the main causes of mascara clumping. A smudgeproof mascara is ideal for outdoor events such as concerts, barbecues and beach parties, and for all-day office jobs.

Try not to apply more than two layers in one application of a smudgeproof mascara. Some brands of a smudge proof mascara also come with a gloss finish which better holds them in place.

Most smudgeproof mascaras are also waterproof– that’s why these two terms are often interchanged. A smudgeproof mascara works best for people who are constantly on the go. The protective properties in a smudge proof mascara come from a mixture of waxes, acids and other special solvents.

Applying Smudge Proof Mascara Step By Step
This is the basic method that will lead to creating smudge proof mascara. The techniques are easy and if you follow them you’ll have a natural, flawless and clump-free look.

* Use an eyeshadow base or a dab of foundation on your eyelids and below your lashes first. Use concealer under your eyes if you need to.

* Lightly powder your upper cheek area with a translucent powder.

* Curl your eyelashes by placing the eyelash curler close to your lashes and press it one time.

* Remove the wand from the applicator WITHOUT pumping it and use a tissue to swipe the clump off the tip before applying.

* Take the wand, place it at the base of your upper lashes and WIGGLE it while you move it upward.

Finish off the look by applying a second coat of mascara and brushing again. If you are creating a smokey eye look then the last coat can be left as is if you prefer lashes that have a little sheen to them.

Now for the bottom lashes…Take a folded tissue and place it under your bottom lashes at the base. Swipe your mascara wand with a tissue to remove excess product. Using just the tip of the wand, lightly coat your lashes. Remove the tissue and just brush any specks from under your eyes or cheeks.

As you can see smudge proof mascara application is possible. If you are doing a natural look then this technique will help you achieve it. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll find that your mascara goes on in no time at all.
